Golden Nugget Owner to Acquire Isle Casino Hotel Biloxi

  • Tuesday, March 6, 2012

Houston-based restaurant and casino owner Landry's Inc. has agreed to purchase the Isle Casino Hotel Biloxi for approximately $45 million from Isle of Capri Casinos Inc. The transaction is expected to close at the end of June pending regulatory approvals. Landry's will reflag the 700-room property as the Golden Nugget Biloxi. Extensive renovations slated for completion in 2013 will include the introduction of several of Landry's restaurant concepts.

Landry's owner Tilman J. Fertitta bought the Golden Nugget brand in 2005 when he acquired the Golden Nugget Las Vegas and Golden Nugget Laughlin properties from MGM Mirage. In May 2011, Fertitta purchased the Trump Marina Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City and reflagged that property as as the Golden Nugget Atlantic City.
