Among the projects currently tracked by Lodging Development in North Carolina, upscale hotels represent the largest segment of the pipeline with 32 projects totaling 4,187 rooms, followed by 23 upper midscale projects accounting for 2,746 rooms. Together, these two tiers comprise the majority of the 82 projects and 10,709 rooms under development statewide. Eleven upper upscale projects contribute another 2,386 rooms, led by the 600-room Omni Hotel Raleigh Convention Center, the largest single project in the pipeline, currently in construction and being developed by Omni Hotels & Resorts. Daly Seven's dual-branded Courtyard and Residence Inn Cary at the Arboretum adds 249 upscale rooms, also in construction.
